The Association
Members of the Swedish Hospital Dentistry Association are dentists working within the field of hospital dentistry or supporting the goals of the Association. Established in 1941 the Association was split into two in 1976 when oral surgeons set up a separate organisation. The Association is linked to the Swedish Dental Association.

Hospital dentists have special expertise, knowledge, skills and interest in the care of patients with complex oral health needs and who require specialized care because of medical conditions, physical, mental or psychiatric illnesses or disabilities.

The Journal
The Journal of the Swedish Hospital Dentistry Association is published four times a year in Swedish and is free to members of the Association and available by subscription to others.
